The people giving this place bad reviews need to take their chances in Monroe. I have taken all my kids here to get licenses since Monroe has blatantly rude people. Very nice people in Polkton and RARELY has it taken me over an hour. Go to Monroe, spend 3 hours there only for them to tell you they are cutting off the service at 5 PM regardless of whether they get to you or not (in lieu of locking the door at 4 PM and serving out who it there). Spent 2 days and about 5 hours there one time.
The staff was OUTSTANDING, friendly and made SURE the teens weren’t nervous. The DMV needs to clone Robin and have one of her in EVERY DMV office.
Waited in line for 4.5 hours before being called back. No place to sit, stood in hall because the small waiting area was packed. There was NO air conditioning. The lady that helped when We finally got called was very kind. My daughter was there to get her learners permit that day.

Officer sowell was so efficient and had a wonderful attitude. A super employee. Both officers were great.
